Cultivating the Future
Sustainable agriculture and ancestral knowledge for a self-sufficient community
In the Ecuadorian Amazon, the land is more than a resource—it’s memory, sustenance, and culture. The Kichwa Añangu Community has lived in harmony with the rainforest for centuries, using traditional techniques that respect nature’s rhythms. However, current challenges like climate change, deforestation, and food insecurity require new sustainable solutions.
Through the Cultivating the Future cause, the Sacha Muskuy Foundation promotes a food production model based on permaculture and ancestral Kichwa knowledge, strengthening food sovereignty and community resilience.
We aim to ensure access to healthy food, recover agricultural practices that protect the rainforest, and empower the community through a deeper connection to their land.
