A little bit about our story

What is Sachamuskuy

Sacha Muskuy charity foundation was created on March 19, 2023, by the Kichwa Añangu community, in response to a genuine need for social attention in the Amazon region of Ecuador, located in the Orellana province, Yasuni National Park.

The aim is to be a leading foundation in integrating environmental conservation and social well-being, achieving a transformative impact on the rural and urban communities of our Amazon region. This ensures that human development and environmental sustainability go hand in hand, preserving the life and cultures of future generations.

This project consists of 90 active members from the Kichwa Añangu community in the Orellana province, Amazon-Ecuador. The main pillars, focused on improving the quality of life, are: Education, health, women’s empowerment, environmental conservation, permaculture, etc.

The project took two years to be executed due to critical situations in our society. However, the responsible commitment of all members of the Kichwa Añangu community made the project a reality in September 2024, reflecting the coordinated work of a great team, united to build a better society.

Thus, the Sacha Muskuy foundation takes on the challenge of becoming a community organization that helps improve the quality of life for low-income and/or vulnerable people in the region, acting as channels and ambassadors of good living.

Mission

Our mission is to work collaboratively with communities and provide support to people with limited access to opportunities through programs in education, health, women’s empowerment, sustainable economic development, and the protection of ecological and cultural biodiversity. Through training, access to basic services, and social innovation, we aim to create a prosperous and balanced future for current and future generations.

To be a leading foundation in integrating environmental conservation and social well-being, achieving a transformative impact in the rural and urban communities of our Amazon region. We aim to ensure that human development and environmental sustainability go hand in hand, preserving life and cultures for the future of our generations.
